COVID-19 Mask Sewing Response

Its been almost two months since the sewing center in Delhi closed its doors due to COVID-19, yet we are still steadily sewing.  With a bit of ingenuity, our staff moved sewing machines into the homes of each woman in our training program. Moving machines into the homes has created space for continued training and more importantly, a steady stream of income for each woman's family.  The sewing trainings have shifted to online with Zoom and WhatsApp and women have learned to make masks remotely and entirely from their homes.  Due to generous donations and wholesale order Sewing New Futures has continued to keep the center running remotely for the last two months of lock down conditions.
