As SNF continues to sew and learn amidst India's lockdown our staff, volunteers, and program trainees are learning new ways to adapt. On Sunday the team met to discuss sustainable development and zero-waste via the Zoom App. Women and girls, many of whom have less than a fifth-grade education, have become proficient in video conferencing and are reaching new heights in their communication skills.
At SNF, capacity building is an essential component of our program, to create leadership skills among women and girls in the sewing training and education programs. Throughout the lockdown, our programs have continued to seamlessly with team members located across three continents. Social work and education sessions to continue daily via What's App and remote staff meetings are the new normal.
